OPENING DAY CELEBRATION, AUGUST 1930
History was not made here; people who made history flew here. When the Santa Paula Airport opened, Ventura County had its first airport and our small city of just 7,200 souls began its long association with the world of flying and those who frequented the wild, blue yonder.
Ten years have lapsed since Ghost Walk visited these hauntingly historic grounds. However ghoulish or garish were those ghostly apparitions, be assured they now rest in peace. Seven new dearly departed have materialized who are dying to tell their tales of woe or recollections of a life they once knew.
Come and walk the Walk with us. If you are a veteran Ghost Walk ghoulie – bring a few fiendish friends. If you will be a newcomer, be welcomed and be calmed. There is nothing to fear as long as you keep within the protective safety of your guided group. It’s those who wander off into the darkness that may encounter an uninvited phantom lurking in the gloom.
